What the heck am I doing??? A blog???

My son has been bugging me to start a blog for a while now...like I have time! He is a good boy and he thinks I am crazy. LOL I am not too sure if I am crazzzy but I do have a hectic and sometimes a "challenged" lifestyle.

We don't have a lot of money or life's luxuries and there is something that is ALWAYS breaking down! Grrrrr! We also are very involved with sports. My husband has been coaching baseball and basketball for the last 17 years, I being his crazzzy secretary and assistant. My kids were involved and my husband, being a "retired" sportsman, volunteered to coach one year. Ha, if we had only known!

We ran the minor baseball league in our town for 6 years (with a lot of help from some amazing baseball people) and started up a teen drop-in basketball program that lasted 7 seasons. That kept us very very  busy...and I think helped me go a little bit crazzzy!! It was a true labor of love and lunacy...all at the same time. Now my kids are grown and the basketball program came to an end but we are still going strong...and broke...running our beloved "Black Sox" baseball team. I joke that we have been doing it so long that we went from "licorice to liquor". My husband used to feed the kids "red" licorice for the early 8:00 AM games and now they sometimes buy us a beer after the game. I have seen some of these kids grow up and I feel like they are my own...especially when they need to borrow a couple of bucks! I love them all!!

What brings me here??? My car, or at least the main one of 3 junkers in the driveway, is not running very well. I say that it is running on it's last toe...never mind it's leg. I am stranded to my lovely home and can't get out to see my friends very often. I like to visit because my house it falling apart and I don't feel comfortable having guests over. My "real" friends don't care and come over anyway. Thank goodness I can't read minds!!!!!

Being stuck at home all the time, I had been sitting at my computer way too much lately. I decided that I couldn't stand it anymore. My lovely eldest daughter suggested that I go "shopping" in my own home. GREAT IDEA! I had Mr Crazzzy climb up into the attic and fetch a few forgotten treasures (that he had hidden up there) to decorate my disaster area. I had a blast!! Now I want to redecorate, repaint, repair and reFRESH my rundown and tired house... and my down-in-the-dumps mood. So far, so good. Baseball is only in the summer, so I should have all of Fall and Winter to work on my honey-do list for all the he-man stuff.

Today, I think I will clean my bathroom and look for a project to do.

Crazzzy Lady OUT!

PS: This blog thing might be a lot of fun...and good therapy! Love ya, J!!
